Lily and the Lake

We took Lily swimming at the beach for the first time yesterday. She was having a great time until a big wave came up and crashed against her tummy, after that she only wanted to be held while in the water. We're looking forward to many more afternoons there!

Pool Pals!

It was 37 degrees out on Monday, now I'm not so sure about my numbers yet but I can tell you it sure was hot! Mommy said we should go cool off in the pool so we called up my friend Andrew and his mom Nancy and they came over for a swim too. It was so much fun having someone to splash with!

Here I am in my floating crab. It's a lot of fun, but I prefere when mommy holds me and bounces me up and down in the water.

We stayed in the BIG pool all afternoon, I had a great time!

After the pool mommy gave us some sugar-free freezies, they're my favourite summer treat!

Progress: We have a foundation

Summer Splashing

Mommy bought me a new pool yesterday cause that green tub was a bit small

First Steps!

We had a pretty exciting night tonight, Lily took her first steps! I was sitting on the floor playing with her and I stood her up arms length away from me and let go. She just stood there for a couple of seconds looking at me and then she just started walking towards me! We did that a few times before Jason could find the camera. Her longest 'walk" was 5 steps and she was perfectly straight and didn't fall forward. Of course we didn't get that one on camera, but here you go, some of her first steps...

I'm 11 months old today!

I guess it's time to start the countdown to Lily's 1st birthday. The year has gone by so fast. Everyday she looks bigger to me, and everyday she learns something new and she gets more independant. She still hasn't said ma ma yet, but da da and ta ta and ba ba are regulars. She's cruising all over the house and I'm positive will be walking any day now. She understands ta ta, no and come see mommy. She waves bye bye, gives five and claps if you clap. Oh, and she smiles all day long :)

Water baby

All of a sudden it's +30 degrees here and I'm HOT! Mommy filled up this little tub for me to cool off in until Daddy puts up our pool next week. It's fun! I like splashing mommy the most. Excuse the nakedness, mommy tried to put me in my bathing suit but I've already outgrown it (it's a 12-18 month size!).
