I'm 5 months old today!

Lilianna is 5 months old today...wow, time is FLYING by. As you can see she sits up all on her own, perfectly straight and steady most of the time. She was weighed on Tuesday and she's 15lbs 15.5oz! We're having lots of fun experimenting with food, she's had carrots and crackers and an arrowroot cookie. She also loves water, but only if we share from our water bottles. We started going to playgroup every Tuesday and Lily's making tons of new little friends. Yesterday I put her on the floor for Tummy Time and I noticed that she was trying to get up on her knees and go forward! She can get up there but she doesn't quite know what to do next so she flops down on her belly and tries again.

After months of Lily refusing to go to bed before midnight, we started getting her down at 7:30, but it was a real struggle. It was usually a couple of hours of her waking up and crying and us soothing her back to sleep, last night though, after her first big dinner of pablum and carrots, she went down at 7:00 and she only whined twice at the very beginning when her soother fell out. All we had to do was pop it back in and she went right back to sleep! It was soooooo awesome! I hope it keeps up cause we're all pretty tired. Lily's really looking forward to grandma, grandpa and auntie April visiting at christmas so she can show off all the new things she can do! And of course, we'll be down to Ottawa for New Year's so everyone can see how much she's grown. She also wants grandma and grandpa Goetz to know she misses them.
