We gave Lily an ice cream sandwich to eat all on her own at Jason's parent's place this week... what a mess! But she loved every ooey gooey drop of it...

An afternoon with the Bayntons
Wow, it's been a while since I posted last. The Baynton family came to visit us a couple weekends ago. We had a great time at the beach followed by a yummy beer can chicken roasted on the BBQ.

Birthday Party #2
We had a second party for Lily on the weekend for the Goetz side and our Kincardine friends. It was a beautiful day and everyone had a good time. She was spoiled again of course, but that's what 1st birthdays are for I guess.
Where have you been all my life?!?

New House Progress - We have a roof!
Wow, we go away for a weekend and we were shocked when we got back how far along the house is! This is what it looked like when we got back from Ottawa:
It looks like they're starting the roof pretty soon. When I went by yesterday the shingles had been dropped off. They also poured the concrete curbs on the street and it looks like they'll be paving soon. Very exciting!

Lilianna's First Birthday!
The mini cake for Lily to destroy
It took forever for Lily to open all her presents! She was spoiled.

Pinata time! Lily took the first try and then all the kids tried twice to crack open Dora. They make those things too sturdy....
...so Great Grandma Brown had to do it! She decapitated Dora, G.G. seemed to have a lot of pent up aggression!
The kids didn't seem to know what to do once the candy hit the ground. The adults were more excited and were shoving candy into their kids' pockets!
What can I say about Lilianna turning 1. The past year has gone by so fast. Lily has become a very spirited and independent little girl. She's happy all the time (apart from teething) and she charms everyone she passes. I thought I'd be more sad to see this milestone pass so quickly but all I feel is pride. Every step she takes, every obstacle she tackles and every new skill she learns is so exciting for us. She's our joy, our laughter and our sunshine. I wish she could stay our little girl forever, but I know that she'll continue to grow and make us proud of her. Happy Birthday Lilianna, mommy and daddy love you more than you'll ever know.
