Lily's First Stickman!

I had Lily's Juniour Kindergarten parent/teacher meeting today and Lily's teacher said she was doing really well, except for in the drawing department. Every month she has the kids draw a self-portrait and Lily's have only been scribbles. She said Lily was a bit behind the other kids when it comes to drawing.

I was aware of the fact that she wasn't into drawing pictures, something that bothered me cause, I'm an artist and all, but I never realized it was because we needed to teach her how to. I thought kids just started drawing and stick figures were what they came up with. I don't remember anyone teaching me to draw stick figures.

So I came home from the meeting and drew the red stick man on the dry erase board and asked Lily if she could draw one too. And she did. Voilà. Problem solved.
