No more laying around for Lily!
Tell me a story Daddy
Once upon a time there was a beautiful Queen named Amanda and her beautiful little princess, Lilianna. The Queen and the princess loved to go shopping, especially for shoes! One day the Queen and the Princess bought so many pairs of shoes that...
...the king cut up their credit card and forbid them to ever go shopping again!
Just kidding Lily!

Pablum Face
We experimented with Pablum today, what a hoot! Lily's still a bit young for solids, and we wanted to wait until christmas, but she's been eating every hour lately so her doctor said we could give it a try. She hasn't quite gotten rid of the tongue reflex yet so getting pablum to the back of her mouth was challenging, but she seemed very interested with the whole process. We'll keep trying until we get it right!
Daddy, I'm just eating cereal, it's not that big of a deal, you can stop taking pictures.

Bestest Friends
Kelly and Kaitlyn came to visit us today all the way from Oakville. Kelly and I were pregnant at the same time and Lilianna and Kaitlyn are a month apart, to the day! It was fun putting the girls together and seeing them interact. Thanks for lunch Kelly! When we come to visit you, it'll be my treat :)

Mommy's Birthday
Today was mommy's birthday. It was a special day because daddy was home and I was such a good girl all day long. Daddy and I got mommy a video iPod for her birthday, she loved it. She said she can't wait to put her favourite songs on and pictures and videos of me too! She's going to use it on our walks after I fall asleep in my stroller. We had a cake for mommy too, but I couldn't have any, mommy said I'm too little still. It was a fun day, I can't wait for my birthday!

Look what I can do!
Lily and I were hanging out on my bed tonight waiting for Jason to come home from work. Lily was laying down, straining to see a commercial for the movie Cars, so I sat her up holding her with one hand on her tummy and one on her back. She was so transfixed by the colours on the TV that I thought to myself, what if I take away the hand I have on her back, so I did and she was still sitting straight up. So then I moved my hand from her tummy and she sat there, perfectly straight staring at the TV. I got so excited and started to scan the room for my camera, which of course I had left down in the family room! She turned and looked at me and then, as if she realized what she was doing, she started laughing. So I jumped up and ran downstairs after praising her for being such a big girl and by the time I got back she was still sitting up, albeit not as straight, but all by herself! Another milestone.

I'm 4 months old today!
Hard to believe it's been 4 months since Lilianna was born. She's getting to be so big and each new day brings more smiles, laughs and drool. Poor puddin' face is starting to teethe and although she barely complains about it, the rosy cheeks and constant chewing on everything is a pretty good indicator. I'm getting very excited for her first Christmas, not that she'll have any idea what's going on, but it's fun for me and Jason!
