7am this morning
I have got some serious cabin fever. That picture was taken from my dining room of the view aross the street. Usually at that time I can see the houses perfectly and it's a lot brighter. There's so much snow coming down you can't see anything. The black dots are snow clinging to the windows. People keep getting stranded at Jason's work. They make it in when there's a break in the weather and then it gets bad again and they close the roads. Luckily Jason's managed to avoid being stuck there but some friends of ours haven't been so lucky and ended up being there for 3 days before they could make it home. The latest announcement from Bruce Power (where Jason works):
Bruce County Road 23 leading into the Bruce Nuclear plant from the Kincardine area is closed but despite the fact that it's closed there are a lot of cars stranded there.
Bruce Power wants it's staff to stay home. Because of deteriorating weather and road conditions - employees are not to report to work at this time. Bruce power will make further announcements through the day.
In Huron County the OPP say they're trying to get some more roads closed but are too busy investigating crashes.
All the roads that lead out of town have been closed since Sunday. Argh!

WOW. That's some weather. I guess it's safe to say that you live in the snow belt? haha. It's kind of like being told you don't have to go to school though. It's a SNOWDAY!
