Lily's Christening

We wanted to have Lily's christening last year but with my grandma and uncle passing away and all the travel involved it just wasn't the right time. Nailing down a time that was good for both us and Lily's godparents Phil and PJ was quite the ordeal but we managed to find a weekend that worked! It was a very special ceremony for us as it was performed by Rev. Hanna who married us 2 years ago and it was done at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church in Aylmer, Québec where I was baptized as well as my sister and countless other cousins, and it was also the church where my parents were married, as well as countless other aunts and uncles (and my cousin Erin is being married here on September 1st). Our family IS the congregation at St. Andrew's! We'd like to thank Phil and PJ for being such wonderful friends and for being there for us and Lilianna on such an important day.

The hand-off.

It's not going so good. Lily's missed her nap she's not happy about it.

Rev. Hanna is a pro.

She's a little wet but she's okay.

Jason, me, Lily, PJ and Phil on the steps in front of the church.

Lily's cake. The dress on it is a replica of the dress I had bought for the christening but then due to a communication error between me and Jason, got left in Kincardine. Thanks ma tante Sue for the beautiful cake!

Lily finally gets her nap.
