Emily settling in

Last night Jason went into work and I was alone with the 2 girls for the first time. I was nervous at first but things went very smoothly. I've been wanting to take some pictures of Lily and Emily together but I don't want to force the matter. Lily is pretty much oblivious to Emily. She notices her and doesn't seem to be angry or jealous, but the few times I've tried to get Lily to come over and see her, or to say hi to her, or I brought Emily close to her, I'm met with dirty looks or she pushes me away. I think she just needs some time to wrap her brain around the situation. Emily started fussing yesterday while I was in the bathroom and I guess it was drowning out Dora cause I heard Lily say "be quiet, be quiet". Could have been worse, Lily could have hit her or something.

Emily is doing a lot of sleeping and eating. She's still super tiny though. When we came home she was 6lbs 2.5 oz., all the newborn sized clothes we have are way too big! I pick up Lily now and I think "Oh my god, she's huge!"

So we're going to make the trip to Ottawa for Christmas. As long as Lily has her cartoons in the car she's fine and Emily just sleeps so we think it'll be a good trip. Jason's last shift is tonight and then he has the next 2 months off! Maybe I'll get some actual sleep :)
