Yummy messes

We gave Lily an ice cream sandwich to eat all on her own at Jason's parent's place this week... what a mess! But she loved every ooey gooey drop of it...

Curly Sue

As Lilianna's hair gets longer it's picking up mommy's curls. Just another thing that makes her adorable!

She speaks!!!

Lily said her first official word on July 20th: Teddy! Now she also says "hi" and "down".
I'm still waiting to hear mama though. She's just messing with me!

An afternoon with the Bayntons

Wow, it's been a while since I posted last. The Baynton family came to visit us a couple weekends ago. We had a great time at the beach followed by a yummy beer can chicken roasted on the BBQ.

The Bayntons: Eric, Laura, Craig and Ryan.

At the beach, it was pretty windy

Here's Jason taking Eric into the water. Craig had no desire to go in, it was freezing!

Guess Eric thought it was a little cold too!

Ryan loved walking up and down the beach

Walking Cuteness

Here's a little video just because :)

Out!

All of a sudden when I say the word "out", Lily laughs hysterically...

New House Progress: Windows!

The windows and doors have been installed! We would have taken more pics but the site planner was nearby and technically we aren't allowed on site without permission.

Birthday Party #2

We had a second party for Lily on the weekend for the Goetz side and our Kincardine friends. It was a beautiful day and everyone had a good time. She was spoiled again of course, but that's what 1st birthdays are for I guess.

The party gets underway

The babies! (Clockwise from Lily) Lilianna, Lucas, Andrew and Liam. Kaitlyn was supposed to come but she and her parents were sick so they couldn't make it. Daddy wasn't too sure about a party with all boys, that won't fly for much longer!

The twins Lucas and Liam enjoying some music in the sun

Daddy and Lily cool off in the pool

Lucas's turn, he wasn't too sure about it all

Andrew trys out the little pool

Lily thought he needed some company and joined him for some splashing

Lily and Lucas having some cracker time

Lily's cake, needless to say I have NO future in cake decorating, but it was tasty!

Happy birthday to you...

This all seems familiar mom...

mmmmm, icing!

Where have you been all my life?!?

Lilianna had peanut butter for the first time the day after her birthday and she can't get enough of it! If I give her a bagel without any P.B. on it she looks at me like "okay mom, quit holding out on me!".

Touring around the kitchen

Thes pictures are so cute I can't even think of anything to say about them. They speak for themselves!

New House Progress - We have a roof!

Wow, we go away for a weekend and we were shocked when we got back how far along the house is! This is what it looked like when we got back from Ottawa:

It looks like a real house!

This is going to be a lot of house to clean....

Lily and Daddy hanging out in the family room

The family room

The temporary staircase, the real ones will curve to the left

The kitchen

The window above the foyer

The second floor

Now that's a complicated roof

Lily's room, it's already pink!
The roughed-in plumbing in the basement

Lily and mommy in the breakfast nook

It looks like they're starting the roof pretty soon. When I went by yesterday the shingles had been dropped off. They also poured the concrete curbs on the street and it looks like they'll be paving soon. Very exciting!

Lilianna's First Birthday!

I'm 1 year old today!

Oh, yeah, Happy Birthday Canada too.

What's going on over here?

You're making a party for me?! Yay!

Lily's Dora Cake

The mini cake for Lily to destroy

It took forever for Lily to open all her presents! She was spoiled.

Pinata time! Lily took the first try and then all the kids tried twice to crack open Dora. They make those things too sturdy....

...so Great Grandma Brown had to do it! She decapitated Dora, G.G. seemed to have a lot of pent up aggression!

The kids didn't seem to know what to do once the candy hit the ground. The adults were more excited and were shoving candy into their kids' pockets!

Lily and Grandma share a laugh

And then cousin Erin got in on the joke

Come on Great-Aunt Sue, I'll show you all my new toys!

Playing with Victoria, Liberty and Abigail

Happy Birthday to you.......Happy Birthday to you

...Happy Birthday dear Lily......Happy Birthday to you!

Time to blow out the candle

Ahhh! Poor Dora has been decapitated twice in one day

Mmmmmmmm, cake

Why is everyone watching me eat?

This is good stuff mom!

Would your watch like some cake mommy?

What can I say about Lilianna turning 1. The past year has gone by so fast. Lily has become a very spirited and independent little girl. She's happy all the time (apart from teething) and she charms everyone she passes. I thought I'd be more sad to see this milestone pass so quickly but all I feel is pride. Every step she takes, every obstacle she tackles and every new skill she learns is so exciting for us. She's our joy, our laughter and our sunshine. I wish she could stay our little girl forever, but I know that she'll continue to grow and make us proud of her. Happy Birthday Lilianna, mommy and daddy love you more than you'll ever know.
