Jason's Dad started feeling sick in the fall and by the new year it wasn't any better so he went to see a doctor and was told he had a tumor. They flew back from Arizona and he had it removed. After they got it out they did a biopsy and found out it was cancer. But the doctors said it looked like they got it all and his prognosis was good. A few tests and scans later he was pronounced cancer-free! The operation was successful and the cancer hadn't spread to his lymph nodes.

To celebrate this amazing news I had a little dinner party for the family that was close by. It was great night!

Spring is here!

Jason got out the swings and Lily enjoyed an hour running around the backyard while Jason did some yard work. It's still a bit too chilly for Emily to be out for very long so we watched from inside.

Emily's been rolling over for about a week or two now. She thinks it's great!

Emily is starting to play with toys, the bunny is good cause it's soft and easy to hold.

Emily's first Walk

I took the girls out for a walk in the beautiful sunshine, it was Emily's first walk. It was colder outside than it looked, poor Emily could barely see so it was a short one. I had to put them in the wagon as I can't get both in our stroller. I ordered a new double stroller (the one below) this week, it's a sit and stand so Emily can sit up front and Lily can either sit or stand in the rear position. Hope we like it!

I'm starting to paint the house and figured I'd better start small. I picked a pretty shade of lilac for the girl's bathroom. It was necessary to get paint on the wall in there ASAP cause they're splashers at bathtime.

Baby Food Factory

I'm back to making baby food. I realize Emily still has a way to go before she starts eating solids but I wanted to take advantage of the winter produce before it's out of season and super expensive. So far I've made sweet potatoes and butternut squash.

Emily has been sucking/chewing on her thumb since birth. It was so tiny at first that she'd either get really frustrated or she'd end up trying to stick her whole hand in there. Now that her fingers are getting chubbier she's enjoying it more. I'd prefer her to use a soother but she's pretty stubborn, I guess her thumb is yummier.
